The first nightlife experience created by Cirque du Soleil, The Beatles Revolution Lounge blends cutting-edge interactive design, art and sound in a contemporary interpretation of The Beatles era at The Mirage in Las Vegas.
“The inspiration for Revolution began with The Beatles’ message of love but the atmosphere is a modern twist on their era of freedom, self-expression and free-love,” said Jean-Francois Bouchard, Senior Director of Creation, Cirque du Soleil Experience.
From across the casino floor, Revolution immediately catches the guest’s attention with a towering display of 10-foot high letters.
Upon entering Revolution, guests are wrapped in the words and thoughts of The Beatles by the lyric wall. Inside the lighting and projections create a sense of motion as the 5000sqft ultra-lounge pulsates with light and shadow patterns above the main bar. Adorning the LSD ceiling of Revolution are 30,000 dichroic crystals, designed to reflect light throughout the lounge — an architectural representation of The Beatles’ hit song, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.
Guests are encouraged to add their own creativity to the ultra-lounge’s décor. The electronic surface of the interactive VIP tables uses infrared technology, allowing guests to create tabletop artwork, which is then projected onto the central diamond-shaped column — apparently ‘I Was Here’ remains popular.
Located just inside the multi-colored letters of Revolution is The Abbey Road Bar, with its Yellow Submarine-inspired portholes and black and white-striped floor reminiscent of the original Abbey Road.
