Hope St Radio Collingwood
Pete Baxter and Jack Shaw are set to open the doors to Hope St Radio, a new wine bar and custom-built home for the much-loved radio station, on Thursday May 11.
The new Hope St Radio home and wine bar builds on its community DNA, incorporating works by the pair’s friends and families, lovingly brought together to create a uniquely welcoming environment. The large, light- filled space has been designed by Peter Cole, built by Spencer Byer Smith, with mural art by Alice McIntosh and custom sound system by Hot Wax Sound Systems.
The food offering will be led by Ellie Bouhadana of Ellie’s Table, serving a seasonal menu focused on fresh pasta. In the coming months, the menu will expand to include a breakfast of congee and filter coffee. Baxter, Shaw and Bouhadana will draw on their network of suppliers, producers and creative peers to deliver delicious and thoughtful food and drinks.
Hope St Radio are the first hospitality tenants to open at Collingwood Yards. The new premises sit at its heart, adjoining the large central courtyard. Expansive outdoor communal tables set the scene for long lunches, late night wines and shared conversations while timber booths provide cosy indoor spaces for coffee meetings, intimate meals and casual snacks.
