Harbour Rocks Hotel is now being offered as a premier venue for intimate cocktail events, dinners, celebrity functions and high-level brainstorming sessions. It has become the newest member of Accor’s distinctive MGallery Collection. The hotel has been re-launched following a total redesign by SJB Interiors. The work was lead by director Jonathan Richards, who has previously won awards for his work on Sydney’s Woolwich Pier Hotel and Dolphin Hotel. The makeover included the launch of the Harbour View Suite, which comes with a rarity in Sydney – a large outdoor terrace.
The Suite boasts a spacious lounge and dining area which flows onto the terrace providing the perfect indoor/outdoor space, making it an equally suitable venue for cocktail parties for up to 40 guests. String quartets or small jazz bands have plenty of space to entertain guests, who have the city skyline and harbour as a natural backdrop.
The newly rated 4.5-star hotel has successfully navigated a multi-million dollar refurbishment which has seen the hotel’s interior stripped back to its original foundations, exposing the sandstone and brick walls which were laid in 1887, as well as a ghost by the name of Eric.
In becoming part of the MGallery Collection, Harbour Rocks Hotel joins a number of hotels, including the recently rebranded Como Melbourne, the Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains and the Grand Hotel in Melbourne.
